In January 2023, the Parrish Art Museum hosted BizShine, a dynamic program that spotlighted local business leaders across the East End. The evening brought together creative minds and entrepreneurs for an inspiring series of five-minute presentations, each offering a glimpse into the challenges and triumphs of doing business in a seasonal community.
Modeled after the Museum’s popular PechaKucha Night Hamptons, BizShine combined storytelling with professional insight. Guests were treated to engaging talks, a Q&A session, and informal table discussions that encouraged collaboration, connection, and new ideas within the local business community.
The featured speakers included:
Dale Novick, fine jewelry designer whose work has graced publications like Vogue and Town & Country.
Peter Sabbeth, founder of Modern Green Home, recognized for advancing modern, sustainable architecture in the Hamptons.
Amy Cherry-Abitbol, founder of Shou Sugi Ban House, the Hamptons’ first luxury wellness destination.
Marc A. Chiffert, engineer, art enthusiast, and Southampton community leader.
Sylvia Wong, owner of The Roundtree Amagansett, a luxury boutique hotel blending understated elegance with warmth and hospitality.
Together, these speakers shared stories of transformation, creativity, and perseverance — highlighting the entrepreneurial spirit that thrives on the East End.
The first BizShine event was a great success, sparking conversations and connections that inspired the Parrish Art Museum to continue it as an annual series celebrating the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit that define the Hamptons’ business community.
