Earlier this year, a charming new destination for readers quietly joined The Shoppes at East Wind. The Little Nook Bookstore, the longtime dream of owner Stephanie DiSanto, opened its doors in Wading River, offering a cozy retreat for anyone who loves to get lost in a good book.
Originally slated to open in 2023, DiSanto delayed her plans to focus on her growing family before finally realizing her vision this year. With two young sons and a lifelong passion for reading, she’s created a space that feels personal, inviting, and rooted in community.
Inside The Little Nook, visitors will find shelves lined with a carefully curated selection of books across multiple genres — from contemporary fiction to children’s favorites — along with titles by local authors such as Dayna Bush and Virginia Mary. DiSanto also plans to host readings and community events to connect local writers and readers.
The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, complete with soft seating, a coffee and tea station, and plenty of space to linger with a new read.
