Two years ago, ITA Kitchen announced a major expansion, bringing its modern Italian dining experience to a new waterfront location in East Moriches. The popular Long Island restaurant group — led by husband-and-wife team Salvatore and Christina Sorrentino — took over the former Coral Tapas & Wine Bar space on Atlantic Avenue, marking the brand’s third location.
Known for its creative, comfort-driven Italian dishes, ITA Kitchen first opened in Bay Shore in 2019, later adding a Garden City South outpost before setting its sights east. The East Moriches location offered something entirely new: 360-degree views of Moriches Bay, creating a dining backdrop that sets it apart from the original concepts.
The menu, shaped by Sal Sorrentino’s two decades of culinary experience, blends Italian classics with playful twists — from pesto risotto balls and burrata-topped chicken to oversized veal-filled meatballs and homemade ricotta gnocchi. The East Moriches restaurant was designed to elevate these favorites with a strong focus on contemporary hospitality and a setting made for memorable meals on the water.
With its arrival on the East End, ITA Kitchen introduced another dining option for the community, combining familiar favorites with an elevated atmosphere and a new coastal perspective.
