A little over two years ago, a new boutique opened in Eastport with a focus on vintage style, sustainability and community. Eastport Retro, located next to the Eastport General Store on Montauk Highway, was created by aunt and niece duo Nancy and Mollie Alamia, who turned their longtime shared passion for vintage treasures into a local retail destination.

The shop features a wide range of curated vintage items, including clothing, accessories and home goods. Visitors can browse vintage denim jackets, sports team apparel, dresses and crocheted blankets alongside unique finds such as records, pins, patches and select furniture pieces. The boutique was designed to offer something for everyone while keeping prices accessible for the local community.

The concept also reflects Eastport’s longstanding connection to antiques and vintage culture. While the hamlet has historically been known for antiquing, Eastport Retro introduced a stronger focus on vintage clothing and wearable pieces. The shop blends the charm of traditional antique stores with a modern interest in vintage fashion and collectible items.

Much of the store’s inventory is carefully sourced by the owners through estate sales, auctions, house cleanouts and travel. Each item is selected with an eye for quality, character and history. The boutique’s philosophy centers on reusing and repurposing items that already exist rather than contributing to the constant cycle of new clothing production.

Eastport Retro also incorporates a community-minded approach into the business. A portion of sales supports Hudson’s Helping Hands, a nonprofit that provides programs and resources for individuals with autism across the East End. In addition, the shop accepts clothing donations from local residents, reinforcing its mission of sustainability and giving vintage pieces a second life.
