Maison Close Returns to the Hamptons After Setback

Maison Close is making its long-awaited return to the Hamptons, marking a fresh chapter after an earlier attempt to open on the East End was unexpectedly cut short.

The Parisian-inspired restaurant, known for its cabaret-style atmosphere and celebrity following, had originally planned to debut a Montauk location in 2023. However, the project was halted when a fire destroyed the property just one day before its scheduled Memorial Day opening.

Now, the team behind the popular Soho hotspot is moving forward with a new Hamptons outpost, this time in Southampton at the Capri Hotel. The restaurant is expected to open in June and will also oversee food and beverage operations for the hotel’s pool, expanding its presence beyond a traditional dining experience.

Maison Close has built a reputation in New York City for its lively, high-energy environment that blends dining with entertainment. The concept draws inspiration from French dining culture, offering a social, immersive experience that goes beyond the plate.

The Hamptons expansion reflects continued demand for experiential dining on the East End, especially concepts that combine atmosphere, hospitality, and a strong brand identity. With an established following and a proven concept in Manhattan, the return of Maison Close is expected to be one of the more notable openings of the upcoming season.

As the team prepares to relaunch in a new location, the focus is on bringing the same signature energy and elevated dining experience to Southampton, this time with a fresh start and a new setting.
