Winter along Long Island’s North Fork brings quiet streets, shortened daylight, and a sharp dip in visitor volume, challenging regional hospitality operators to keep dining rooms active. In response, local resident Christie Moore launched the North Fork Supper Club, a hyper-local dining collective designed to sustain neighborhood eateries during low-volume months while giving permanent residents accessible incentives to eat out.
The initiative operates on a direct, resident-verified membership model. Full-time community members gain access to custom, restaurant-selected perks—ranging from complimentary appetizers and drink specials to percentage discounts on weekday orders. By allowing participating venues to tailor their own offers, the program boosts mid-week foot traffic and helps maintain steady hours for kitchen and service personnel without compromising restaurant margins.
The roster of participating dining destinations continues to expand across the peninsula. Early founding culinary partners include local favorites such as North Fork Table & Inn, Maroni, Southold General, Little Fish, Panoramica, 1943 Pizza Bar, Greenport Harbor Brewing Company, The Halyard, Tucker’s Taproom & Chophouse, and Silver Sands Motel spots like Nookies and The Boathouse. Each venue crafts its own distinct incentive for card-holders, ensuring diners always have something new to sample close to home.
Beyond driving revenue during quiet months, the network strengthens ties across the regional agricultural ecosystem. A percentage of membership proceeds is routed directly to local agricultural partners, including KK’s The Farm in Southold, creating a self-sustaining cycle that connects diners, chefs, and East End growers.
