Wells Fargo has opened a new 2,690-square-foot branch at 117 Main Street in Southampton, marking the bank’s 13th location on Long Island and part of a broader New York expansion. The grand opening brought together local officials, Wells Fargo leaders, and community partners to celebrate the addition to Southampton’s Main Street retail corridor.

The bank says the continued build-out across the state is aimed at adding capacity and convenience for customers, with several more branches planned in the coming months. Across New York, Wells Fargo now operates more than 75 branches.

As part of the Southampton launch, Wells Fargo awarded a $100,000 grant to the Long Island Housing Partnership to support its affordable home development in North Bellport. The project will deliver 32 single-family homes—each with a one-bedroom accessory apartment—sold to first-time buyers through LIHP’s Community Land Trust program, effectively benefiting 64 households.

With new banking services on Main Street and targeted community investment nearby, the Southampton branch opening underscores a dual focus on retail expansion and local impact.
