Hamptons Restaurants Worth Knowing

The Hamptons dining scene heated up for the season with celebrated restaurants reopening and new culinary experiences on the horizon.

In Sag Harbor, The Beacon has officially opened its doors for its 27th season. Known for its waterfront views and vibrant bar scene, the restaurant begins dinner service at 5:30 p.m., with reservations recommended up to 10 days in advance. The menu offers an array of highlights, from shrimp tacos and pork belly pretzel buns to vegan lasagna layered with cashew ricotta and sun-dried tomato marinara. Seafood lovers will also find sesame-crusted tuna with soba noodles and baked halibut with toasted Israeli couscous among the standout entrées.

Over in Springs, Bostwick’s on the Harbor introduced a new happy hour every Thursday and Friday from 5 to 6:30 p.m., available at the bar and in the lounge. Guests can enjoy oysters, shrimp cocktail, tuna poke, and lobster rolls alongside crispy bar bites like Buffalo cauliflower and truffle Parmesan fries. Drink specials include discounted draft beers, select wines, and handcrafted cocktails, making it the perfect pre-dinner stop with a harbor view.

Montauk welcomes back The Bird, formerly Bird on the Roof, now serving brunch on weekends from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Signature favorites like shakshuka, soft scrambled egg sandwiches, and playful pancake dishes are on the menu, while dinner service debuted on Memorial Day weekend. Drawing inspiration from Asian and Mexican travels, the new dinner offerings will fuse French technique with Japanese flavors, with dishes such as Kinoko Nabe hot pot and creative lobster-focused plates.
